The work process of the department

The Department of Communication Skills is located at: 151 Bogenbay Batyr Street, Academic Building 2, 4th floor, Room 405, Almaty.

The Department has 2 classrooms and also conducts teaching activities at 6 clinical sites. It is fully equipped with all the facilities and resources required for the educational process. Faculty members use interactive whiteboards, projectors, televisions, and other technical teaching aids.

The Department has 14 full-time staff members.

They include:

  • PhD holders – 3
  • Professor – 1
  • Master’s degree holders – 10

The Department’s teaching workload amounts to 19.75 full-time equivalent (FTE) positions.

The Department conducts practical classes at the bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, and residency levels.

The Department is a graduating department and implements a double-degree educational program in Clinical Psychology in cooperation with the Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University. The first cohort of bachelor’s degree students is expected to graduate in 2027.

All classes are held in the form of practical exercises; lectures are not provided.
