Educational programs

The department has developed educational programs in the following specialties:

7M10102 – “Healthcare Management” scientific and pedagogical direction,

7M10101 – “Healthcare Management” specialized direction.

7M10103 – ” Global Health and Healthcare” scientific and pedagogical direction,

7M04102 – MBA Healthcare Management (2 years),

7M04103 – EMBA Healthcare Management (1 year),

7M04103-EMBA “Business Administration in Healthcare”.

 

KazNMU and SDU University MBA and EMBA double degree program in Healthcare Management (7M04102 and 7M04103). This joint program, launched in 2022, was an important step in the development of management education in the healthcare sector. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that graduates receive a double degree – SDU University and KazNMU, which opens up new career prospects and international opportunities for them.

 

 

The department staff have implemented foreign mobility programs:

Academic mobility has covered a wide range of countries: Medical University of Sofia (Bulgaria, 2023), Lehigh University (USA, 2023), Kaunas University (Lithuania, 2023), Soonchunhyang University (Korea, 2023), Hyundai General Hospital (Korea, 2024), Université Côte d’Azur (France, 2024), Samarkand State Medical University (Uzbekistan, 2025). There was also internal mobility at medical universities in Astana and Shymkent.

 

 

 

Participation in conferences by department staff:

– Participation with an oral presentation at the Science and Innovation Days conference organized by the Tajik State Medical University named after Abu Ali ibn Sina;

– The head of the department participated as a speaker at the virtual workshop – HTAi 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 “The Use Of Evidence-Informed Deliberative Processes For Health Technology Assessment In Low and Middle Income Countries” on the topic “Practical application of Evidence-Informed Deliberative Processes – Role of advisory committee/stakeholder involvement in Kazakhstan”;

– Koshyrbayeva L.K. poster presentation at the Canadian Conference on Global Health Delta, Ottawa & virtual, (November 24-26, 2021). Thesis title: Health policy assessment in Kazakhstan in intersectoral and regional perspectives;

– Karabalin S.K., Seiduova L.B., Rymbaeva D.M., Marat N.B., Tolganbaeva K.A. The psychophysiological status of mobile brigade doctors working in COVID-19 hotspots, regional scientific and practical conference with international participation and regions of the Republic “COVID-19. Favorable working conditions, compliance with anti-epidemic measures, and social protection – a guarantee of staff health and safety.” October 7, 2021, Kokshetau;

– Seiduanova L.B., Mankiev A.M., Rshymbetov M.K. Issues of rehabilitation of persons who have had COVID-19 in the conditions of health centers of large enterprises. – Abieva A.A., Seiduonova L.B. Assessment of the biohazard management system in the laboratory. Republican scientific and practical conference of young scientists with international participation “Science and Health” of the Republic of Kazakhstan, November 19, 2021, Semey.

– Imamatdinova A.M. Participation with a report at the international scientific conference “Science: Past, Present, Future” (Aktobe, 2022).

– Imamatdinova A.M. First degree diploma for participation in the project “Best Young Scientists-2022” among scientific and educational institutions of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Awarded the breast medal “Best Young Scientist-2022” Commonwealth of Independent States for her contribution to the development of science and education.

– Koshyrbayeva L.K. Participation in the plenary session on the topic: “Capacity Building in Health Technology Assessment across Eastern Europe and Central Asia” as part of the international conference “Health technology assessment international” (Adelaide, Australia, 2023).

– Tolegenova A.M. participated with a presentation at the 1st International Forum “Asfen.Forum, New Generation” (Almaty, 2023).

– Tolganbaeva K.A., Tolegenova A.M. Participation with a report at the international conference “Public Health in an Era of Global Change” (Almaty, 2024).

– Kosherbaeva L.K. participated with a presentation at the World Congress on Inclusive Education (Almaty, 2025).

– Kosherbaeva L.K., Kulzhanov M.K. participated in the Regional Seminar on Global Health Reform (Jordan, 2025).

 

 

As part of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s program to attract foreign specialists, the department was visited by:
