From April 20 to April 25, 2026, Associate Professors of the Department of Public Health at the NJSC “S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University,” A.A. Aitmanbetova and A.M. Shakhiyeva, along with Lecturer N.Zh. Darmen, participated in an academic mobility program at Shihezi University (China), hosted by the School of Public Health.
The total volume of the completed scientific and educational program amounted to 36 academic hours. The program included educational, scientific, and organizational activities aimed at exchanging experience, developing professional competencies, and establishing international cooperation.
An official symposium was held with the participation of the leadership of the School of Public Health of Shihezi University. During the meeting, the parties presented information on the history of their universities, undergraduate and graduate educational programs, research areas, and development prospects, and also discussed issues of international collaboration.
As part of the visit, lectures were delivered to faculty members and students of Shihezi University according to individual visit programs. The delegation visited laboratories and research platforms of the university’s medical school. Meetings were held with laboratory management, during which research directions were discussed. The delegation visited the university’s clinical base, where participants familiarized themselves with practical training of students, modern educational technologies, and clinical infrastructure, and also visited the university museum.
At the conclusion of the visit, a final meeting was held to summarize the results of the program and discuss prospects for further cooperation, after which certificates were awarded.
