History of the department<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Department of “Health Policy and Management” was renamed by Rector’s Order \u2116470 from 03.09.2021.
\nThe founder and the first head of the department was the rector of the University, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Akanov Aikan.
\nFrom 2014 to 2017, the department was headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor K.K. Kurakbayev.
\nFrom September 2017-2018, the department was headed by Candidate of Medical Sciences Sataev M.M.
\nFrom 2018 to the present, the head of the department is PhD, Associate Professor Kosherbayeva Lyazzat.
\nBy order of the rector dated 12.09.2017 \u2116496 “On the assignment of University departments to deaneries and academic departments”, the department is assigned to the Dosmukhamedov School of Public Health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kuralbay Kurakbayev<\/strong>
\ndoctor of medical sciences, professor <\/strong><\/p>\n

Kuralbay Kurakbaev is the author of patents on the development and author’s works, monographs and more than 200 scientific works published in international and Republican medical universities. Members of the Republican and regional headquarters on information and explanatory work on compulsory social and medical insurance (OSMS) from 2018, members of the public advisory council of OSMS from 2020, members of the board of Veterans of the Republic of Kazakhstan from 2021. He was awarded the honorary certificate of the Republic of Kazakhstan (1995), the badges “outstanding healthcare worker of the USSR”, “outstanding healthcare worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan” (1997) and “for his contribution to the healthcare industry” (2004), the Jubilee Medal of the 20th anniversary of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2011), the 30th anniversary of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2021), Kurmet Order (2013).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
