The faculty and staff of the department together with students participate in the organization of university events “New Year’s Eve”, “Nauryz”, “Student Spring”, etc. The department organizes various conferences on educational and scientific topics. In general, the department\u2019s work is focused on the training of specialists in the field of hygiene, who can assess and predict the sanitary condition of environmental objects, the level of health of the population, in particular children. Life puts forward new tasks for the department staff, which is an incentive for further improvement of its work, the development of its new forms and methods. Educational work is carried out mentoring among students 3, 4 courses of the faculty of public health, at Kazakh and Russian departments.<\/p>\n
In all academic groups, work is constantly being conducted aimed at improving the discipline and academic performance of students. All mentors acquainted students of the supervised groups with the provisions on: \u201cThe rights and obligations of university students\u201d, \u201cKazNMU internal regulations\u201d, \u201cCode of honor of KazNMU students\u201d, the history of the department, the anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the anthem of the university, the coat of arms and flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n
Particular attention was paid by mentors to issues of patriotic education, the growth of spiritual culture (visiting theaters, reading fiction, talking), instilling a sense of responsibility for one\u2019s actions, awareness of the need for strong knowledge for professional development, problems of modern healthcare and the formation of a healthy lifestyle.<\/p>\n
