Starting in 2016, Kazakhstan has a new holiday on March 1 – Thanksgiving Day, established by the Decree of the President of the Republic No. 173 of January 14, 2016. “This day can become a bright holiday of charity, friendship and love of all Kazakhstanis to each other,” the head of state said at the time. “Remember and be proud of your history” is the one of the main messages of this holiday.
The event was attended by curators – mentors of the department, faculty staff and students GM015-005-1, GM015-005-2, GM015-006-1, GM015-006-2.
Students prepared presentations on this subject, watched a video, showed a sketch, sang songs, played on national instruments. They became acquainted with the words of greeting and gratitude in the languages of the peoples of the world. One of the goals of this Day is to form sense of tolerance, friendliness and respect for each other among the rising generation, as well as the strengthening of inter-ethnic harmony and ethnic ties in Kazakhstan.
