90 Years on the Path to Health, Strength, and Sporting Triumphs! On behalf of the entire university, we wholeheartedly congratulate the Department of Physical Education of the S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University on this grand occasion — its 90th Anniversary! This milestone date is more than just a number; it is a symbol of dedicated service to the ideals of health, cultivating strength of spirit, and shaping the sporting elite. For nine decades, your Department has been the unwavering foundation for the physical and moral development of future generations of doctors. We were proud to celebrate this momentous event on December 9-10, 2025, at the KazNMU sports complex, gathering veterans, honored guests, faculty, and students—all who have made sport an integral part of their lives. At the official opening ceremony, we had the honor of welcoming our legendary mentors: Ryabcоv Yuri Alekseevich, Head of the Department, Honored Specialist. Anara Shapakovna Bekbolatova, USSR Master of Sports in Artistic Gymnastics. Olga Grigorievna Makhova, USSR Master of Sports in Athletics, and our long-time role model. We extend special gratitude to Zhanat Assetkyzy Kozhekenova, Dean of the School of Public Health named after K. Dosmukhamedov, for her warm wishes and recognition of the Department’s significant contribution to the development of our Alma Mater. The celebration culminated in vibrant sporting battles! We thank the teams from the three leading Almaty universities—the Kazakh National Technical University named after Ablai Khan, the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, and the Kazakh Academy of Sport and Tourism—for their participation and high level of preparation. Your mission is invaluable: you bring not only knowledge but also a culture of movement into the world of medicine, making our graduates not just high-class specialists but also strong, resilient individuals. We wish the Department of Physical Education continued prosperity, new sporting records, talented students, and inexhaustible energy!
