Students of the department consistently achieve prize-winning results in the disciplines taught. In particular, a Second-Degree Award was obtained in the “Biostatistics” discipline at the Olympiad held at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy JSC.

The department successfully runs a student research club and a journal club that helps students realize their scientific potential. Students at the department have presented research findings in various conferences and forums, and some have received recognition for their work. For example, a student, Zhanel Sirazhet, under the supervision of Dr. Balnur Iskakova, secured an honorary third place in the “Public Health” section at the 1st International Forum “Asfen.Forum, New Generation – 2023” and received a certificate worth 100,000 tenge.
