On October 16, 2025, an educational event titled “Ecology and Us” was held at the Scientific Library of Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, organized by the Department of Public Health and the University Library staff.

The meeting was attended by the Dean of the School of Public Health Zhanat Asetovna Kozhekenova.

The main goal of the event was to enhance students’ environmental awareness, encourage responsibility toward nature, and discuss the relationship between ecological well-being and public health.

Participants explored key topics such as air pollution, ecosystem degradation, climate change, and the environmental consequences of urbanization. They discussed sustainable solutions to prevent ecological crises and promote eco-friendly lifestyles.

Third-year students of the School of Public Health presented creative and research projects on topics including “Air Pollution and Public Health,” “Ecosystem Destruction,” “Urban Ecology,” and “Nature and Me.”

It was emphasized that ecology plays a crucial role in human health and that protecting nature is not only a global challenge but also a personal duty.

The meeting concluded in a warm and engaging atmosphere, and certificates of appreciation were awarded to the most active participants.
