“WE ARE AGAINST CORRUPTION”

On February 26, 2025, a conference titled “WE ARE AGAINST CORRUPTION” was held in Auditorium 4 at S.D. Asfendiyarov KazNMU. The event was organized by the Department of Public Health and brought together faculty members, including the Dean of the School of Public Health Nurbakyt Ardak Nurbakytkyzy, the Head of the Anti-Corruption Compliance Service Anuar Askerbek Abdirakhmanuly, the Head of the Department of Social and Educational Work Sherzat Shermet Rozmetovich, as well as 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students from the School of Public Health, the School of Dentistry, and the School of Pediatrics. The organizers of the conference were Aytmanbetova A.A., Shakhieva A.M., Alikeeva G.M., Zhakupova M.N., and Musina M.S.

The primary goal of the event was to enhance legal literacy, discuss current anti-corruption measures, and explore effective solutions for preventing corruption.

The speakers included Nurbakyt Ardak Nurbakytkyzy, who spoke about the culture of anti-corruption— a system of moral values, behavioral norms, and attitudes aimed at rejecting corrupt practices. This was followed by Anuar Askerbek Abdirakhmanuly, who provided insights into legislative initiatives, law enforcement practices, and anti-corruption mechanisms within organizations.

Corruption remains one of the most serious threats to modern society, undermining trust in state institutions, exacerbating social inequality, and slowing economic development. Its destructive impact is felt at all levels, from the highest echelons of power to the daily lives of ordinary citizens.

During the discussion, participants examined key issues, analyzed practical cases, and reviewed successful examples of anti-corruption efforts.

At the end of the event, certificates were awarded to active participants. Attendees emphasized the importance of such meetings for sharing experiences and improving the effectiveness of anti-corruption initiatives.

We express our gratitude to all participants and look forward to welcoming you to our future conferences!
